Group Ad In American Art Collector~April Edition

36"x12"x1.5"
Textural, Acrylic Original

This is the Daily Painters Abstract Gallery group ad that I am featuring "Reaching" in.

"Reaching" is a complex piece of artwork. I first laid down a compound on the gallery wrapped canvas that adds great textural features.  Sculpting and imprinting is the next phase adding more textural aspects.  From there my intuitive instincts take over with color and blending all the while creating a constant movement and flow through the piece.  Layers of acrylics and glaze are applied adding luminousity and depth through the colors.  I complete the piece with painting the edges of the painting and working an antique feeling around and over into the painting itself.  The creative process takes 2 to 3 exciting days!

If you are interested in this piece, please go to my website were you can get a better view of this beautifully texturized original.  My website allows magnification so you can move across the piece to really see details.

Have a blessed day...Amy©

"Hood In The Valley" Colorful Village Tucked In The Valley Distant Mountains

"Hood In The Valley"
24" x 8" x 1.5"
Oil

This peaceful village is nestled in a valley with glorious mountains surrounding and embracing the town.  My imagination travels deeper into the hood and I can hear children laughing as they play. The church bells are ringing in the background.  Someone has baked an apple pie and is letting it cool on their window sill, as a chicken dinner is roasting in the oven.

There is happiness here.  People actually enjoy being a part of a community and eagerly greet each other as their paths cross.  There is an innocence.....

This piece is available.  If interested please contact me.

It is my enduring wish that we all find peace, light and love within our day...Amy

"Wedged" Colorfully Vibrant Free Flowing Canvas Acrylic Abstract~ Amy Tuso ~ Daily Painter ~ Fountain Hills, AZ

16" x 16"

"Wedged" is a fun, decorative, abstract that is done on unstretched canvas and heavily glazed.  It can be displayed as is or made into a larger piece by matting and framing.  It presently is in my
Studio Specials Gallery as I have been busy spring cleaning my studio.

It is because of this "cleaning" that I choose "Wedged" as that is how things look around here!  I have new wood flooring on order that hopefully will arrive next week for installation.  Having new floors installed is like moving...everything needs to be "touched", gone through, decided upon and packed.  Time consuming for sure but also very cathartic.  I am finding myself being "reflective" and really looking at the direction that my artwork is taking.  Growth comes about through change.  Change is not always comfortable and requires strength.  Strength requires replenishment...and so the cycle goes.

Stay tuned as there are many changes occuring within me as I travel this wonderful artworld journey.

Peace, light and joy...Amy©
